about

"Up to Speed" was the debut release from Greenhouse Effect, which at the time consisted of members Blueprint, Inkwel, & Manifest. It was written and recorded in 1998 and released in 1999 on cassette tape, then re-released on CD in 2000. Up to Speed was also the first release of the Ohio hip-hop label Weightless Recordings, who took its name from the song "Weightless" featured on this release. It is also the first record produced by and featuring Blueprint who later on went to collaborate with producer RJD2 as Soul Position, and release records for the Minneapolis hip-hop label Rhymesayers Entertainment.
